That's right, yeah. The BB has the SS hole blanked but visible from underneath.

Gots mines today!!!

I think I'm as happy as I was when I got my original 28 years ago!!! Only difference is, I have to wait for 21month old daughter to go to bed to start assembly... Other wise parts will be everywhere!!!

(Besides, the wife don't know I bought it.. Whoops!!!

Honest, they gave it to me for free to rate the ease of assembly... Yeah, that's it!!! Anybody buyin this???)

Fusion now says Usually Ships in 1 to 2 Days

Getting close now . I'm looking forward to the release of all the reasonably priced spare parts which I can use on my vintage blackfoot. Also the gold wheels which I'm going to fit with an adapter to my wt01 monster beetle project. Finally it will be finished!

I just ordered from Fusion. With the discount it works out cheaper than Tamico / Seidel and they'll have it in stock sooner too.

I'm thinking that as the body is moulded red I might just sand lightly then give it a few coats of clear rather than primer / red / clear. I've done this with spoilers and it works well, hopefully should look decent for a complete body.

That sounds like a good idea. That way if you roll it over and scratch it up, you can just hit it with more clear.

We're on number two and this last weekend saw me and my eldest (5) going out with our cars together. It was ace. I'll be training up the youngest once his hands a big enough for a controller

I was thinking the same exact thing, wasn't sure about the decals and the light sanding tho... Not sure how that would work...

What I would do is sand the body to remove any mould lines and scuffs starting with 240 for the seams on the rear arches and ending with 1500 grit, paint with clear, do the window trims (which need to be matt or semi gloss) then put decals on last.

I started putting it together, got to step 5, seemed to go a lot quicker w the first one, maybe I just had more patience...
