Yeah, I was just looking at that....

May have to measure up my clod body...

because I can never leave well enough alone... Lol

You could also run a Blackfoot 3 body on this without any modifications, just the rear body posts (I have extras if u need) or even old original BF bodies if you have any or find one. A lot easier than modifying either a MP or CB body.

Yeah, but see... That's the way it was meant to be... I don't roll like that... I go AGAINT the grain...

LOL was your spelling of 'against' supposed to be implicit proof of your rebel nature?? :D

That's the spirit! :)

Mine arrived from Fusion yesterday. Superb service as always.

I'm flipping the order of things this time, I'm painting the body up first then doing the build as I never like getting the chassis complete and thinking how long its going to be until the car is actually ready ;)

The body is washed and will be getting primed today. Oooooooh yeah.

Mine has just arrived from Fusion, so I get the full effect I'm letting my wife wrap it up for me for Xmas so I have something to look forward to :D other than the kids opening their presents.

Same plan here mate :D

I had my first run with mine yesterday! It's been at least 20 years since I drove one of these! The updated shocks definitely make a difference. I had a little trouble with the steering when I ran into the fence - things got out of alignment for a bit, but after working the wheel a bit it got straightened out. I replaced the servo and servo saver when I finished running to something a little more sturdy. Futaba S3305 and a Kimbrough servo saver. The upgrades have begun!

I'm also interested in peoples plans for the body, I bought the correct red paint to paint as I expected it to come in white, Is it better just to clear coat it, what's the best clear coat for these and what's the process for just clear coating ABS?

I'm just playing it safe. I'd already ordered the primer and Italian red, so rather than risk sanding and clear coating the bare plastic (which I've never done before) I figured I'd go with what I know. Best bit is, if I scratch the red paint, at least its likely to show through red ;)

That sounds pretty good for a US price. Tower Hobbies has the price at 189, but it's out of stock. They frequently have free shipping offers over $99 (there's one on right now).

I managed to get mine for $149 w/free shipping because I pre-ordered it at the initial $239 price. If you are a super saver member, they give you $40 off a $225 order. Luckily, the price went down to $189 before mine was charged and shipped, but the still gave me the $40 discount. Sweet!

Hey guys - question for those of you (most?) who've had experience with both the vintage and re-re M.B. / Blackfoot: how specifically does the plastic of the A parts / chassis halves feel in the re-re vs the original? Is it identical? More flexible? Same feel? Color depth?

I've paid ~$100 on a few occasions for NIP original chassis parts for these and it's a dream come true to have them floating around the bay for $25-30 but maybe it's too good to be really, totally true? IDK. I have a set ordered and on their way to me. Just wondering people's opinions.
