I can imagine what the 'postman brought me' thread is going to look like in october!

I think the first person to get a beetle should take a picture of the box when it arrives then each person copies the original post but adds their name to the list. It'll be the longest single post ever I think.

The suspension looks like it has been compressed. Either that or they have assembled the dampers incorrectly.

Do we think that the body has been moulded in red?

The front suspension arms are tiny...look at the source site and zoom in...also the body is sitting lower making the rear wheels look taller?

I think it may be moulded in red. It doesn't have the shine a painted shell tends to have. Then again it could be a matt paint job. I'd go for moulded red though.

My guess would be that the body is just the re-re Scorcher body, molded in red, with a couple holes in different places.

The front dampers seem different from the originals, they seem have two piece spring retainer.

It looks like the Sand Scorcher window. If you look through the front window in the picture, you can see where the glass goes up sharply behind the right rear window. It does look like it's tinted though. Maybe the SS mold with tinted glass?

I wonder if they reinforced the tabs on the front clip where the spotlights are mounted?

I'm so excited for cheap spares!

On the US page it says the kit requires TS paint. Could mean the body is not moulded in red. I really hope it is though.
