Hello fellow members,

today i installed a lightkit (white headlights & red taillights) into my SRB.

My problem is that the light shines trough all the plastic parts.

I thought that the light will shine through the lenses, but no, the whole nosecone of my sand scorched is lighted & the whole plasticpart of the taillights shines red......

Do anyone has some advices what to do?

My first thought was to "isolate" the plasticparts with aluminumtape, but I already glued the taillights to the body....

The first thing that I would try is to "black out" the sides of the LEDs, so light only shines out or the front of the LED toward the lens of the lights in your Scorcher..

You can do this in a few different ways, with one being to cover the back and sides of the LED's in black Heat shrink, however, you may have issues fitting the LEDs back into the light buckets with this method..

The second is to paint the back and sides of the LEDs with black paint.. (I do this with the lights on, so you get 100% coverage of paint, and block out all unwanted light)

I cant guarantee that this will totally solve your problem, but it wont cost you that much to try it..
