painting a trailer

I brought a flat bed trailer a few weeks back I want to match the paint on the truck (grand hauler box art)

My lhs finally got some more TS 89 back in this week.

My question is can I paint the TS paint straight onto the metal parts with a white undercoat or will I need to use a etching primer first.

I suggest Tamiya primer, it's excellent and then the paint will stick - - .

Ordered the tamiya fine surface primer Wednesday from modelsport it came Friday and I started today and tbh I am impressed with it

Managed to get a coat of colour on before I had to take my fish tank hood back to the aquarium to swop.

Will need another couple of cans to finish it so gotta wait till next weekend as a trip to my lhs will be in order.
