Anybody knows what company makes these aluminum parts to extend the wheelbase of the Pumpkin/Lunchbox chassis?

The Lunchbox chassis is such a great runner, it would be great to be able to use 1:10 bodies with it. :)

An old friend of mine used to make chassis plates for his crawlers out of white plastic chopping board... I reckon you could make something similar out of it or even delrin sheet and a hacksaw...

I'm sorry, these look like they'd make a dubiously handling chassis worse?! Am I missing something? Why would you want to trade suspension stroke for a longer wheelbase?

Back in the day I hated the way the axle kicked my Pumpkin when hitting full throttle, so I fixed it with some metal piece and rubber tubing and ran it that way for the next 16 years and not only the truck worked alright for what I wanted-as a matter of fact I noticed it was more stable, less noisy, and I remember loving it. Now, if to that you can ad the fact that you can actually have body options for it then that's more than nice. Nowadays I have a complete extra Lunchbox chassis here and I have no body to use it with. A body for it would cost me more than the complete chassis, and the chances of selling it here in my country without a bodyshell are thin because of the odd scale bodies that these things could use. That's the problem with it, and that is why I would love to own a pair of these aluminum arms.

Okay, I knew I had a picture somewhere. I still like to have the axle fixed. Here's what I did to my Lunchbox a couple of years ago:

Nice tidy work

I have a lunch box tub here and the axle plates I started to modify. They are worth nothing (you can get a tub and arms parts delivered here for £9) so if you want them I could look out a postage cost to get them to you.

Oh, I can't deny that's a tempting offer. I have all the internals of the gearcase here and I believe I even have a spare set of front arms and one spindle... Unfortunately, right now I can't even think about it because I'm getting a rather heavy box from the States with books for my thesis and some Tamiya parts. Perhaps if you still have those in the not so distant future. Thanks, Nobby1977! :)
