The Bruiser tires are be the best looking and most realistic 2.2 tires to ever be used in a RC vehicle anytime anywhere, but if you want to know about the grip, I'd have to say it's poor. They're way too hard. Back in the day when Tamiya released them there were no other 2.2 tires to compare and that is the reason why ALL of the other 2.2 tires that you can find are better in the grip department. Still, there is no other 2.2 tire to resemble a real one better than the Bruiser's (Firestone 42070-24 "All Traction Utility").

Any 2.2 I suspect. I have them running on Stadium Blitzer rims on my Lunchbox (hex rear/bearing front).

I guess Bush Devil should also work. WT/WR01 and WR02 maybe also? Possibly CR01 beadlocks?

I've found the Bruiser tyres to be REALLY good in wet mud. Better than any other tyre I've used (mud thrasher, rock crusher, super swampers from Vaterra and from RC4WD). They're also pretty good on beach sand. But little else.

That's interesting! thanks for sharing the info. As much as I like 1:1 mudbog racing I would not swamp the Bruiser in a bog, and I can only imagine the sand. I would love to take the truck to the beach, but it's been how long, thirteen years since I last touched the sea...

Ever tried Masher 200 and Wheely King Tires?

I have heard Mashers are great runners, and I use HPI Wheely King's Mud Thrasher tires all the time. They are definitely my favorite tires to run. The question is, are you looking for tires for a Bruiser truck or something else? Mud Thrashers won't work on a Toyota Bruiser. That would require some serious lift mod as larger tires would rub the body.

I'm interested to know which experience other drivers got.

So today I started a little test. After rainy day I use my BF3 to test the tires. It's not a fair test because the Mud Thraser are empty inside and the Masher 2000 have very soft foams inside and weights. The Masher 2000 I use for my SCX10, the rubber is very soft and non-slip.

But they are not so big and looks not scale for a real Monster Truck.

After my test I can say following:

- rubber of Mud Thrashers are not soft, don't need any foams inside

- Masher 2k are very soft and need foams

- the M2k have more grip, but not with stock foams, stock foams are to hard; the M2k are bit like "glue" on blacktop road and do not throw so many stones into the air

- the MT have less grip, but can much better drift ;) ; throw many stones into the air (on pebbled bottom)

I would say the M2k are better if you want grip but the MT are not really worse. I would recommend the MT.

The two tires are all terrain suitable.

So I think, if you say the Tamiya Brusier tires are to hard and have not enough grip I don't buy them.

Other guys eperience?

The original Bruiser tires are much harder than Mud Thrashers. I like them when using the Black Foot on loose gravel and dirt, but then again they're not a modern type of RC tire.
