My Lunchbox has a KB servo saver and stronger steering rods. Now I would like to know what is the exact length of the original/stock steering rods for this specific model, if anybody could help me with that, THANKS in advance! :)

Nothing is impossible with a Lunchbox ;)

Thanks SO much waterbok!!

Your mod is very good. I have had this Pumpkin chassis for I think over one year, tried to make some aluminum platform since the hole for the servo holder was broken. When I first tried the aluminum platform it failed, left the project gathering dust somewhere and only now I am resuming my work on it. Here's some pictures of the parts and work done tonight:

Setting the custom steering linkage. These bars were given to me by my good friend TCer Crash Cramer. They're excellent quality! Thank you Chris! :)

I've drilled a couple of holes and that's it. Perfect fit!

Here's the pivot point of the servo right in the middle of the chassis. Waterbok mod works great, you see.

A couple of side views after getting the arms back on the chassis:

The stock servo saver was too thin and small for the bars I am using. The Blackfoot type works great. Sadly I don't have the base of it, but what the heck, unfortunately I'll have to sell this chassis. :(

The steering linkage is more beefy and looks very very nice.

With the wheels on. I'm liking this thing a whole lot!

One more look at the servo and linkage:

I can't believe I have to sell this fun & exciting chassis to fund a couple of small bits just to make the Avante run. <_< I don't know but it's not much of a nice feeling.

So that's it for now. You guys can try this if you want to use stronger steering arms. Seems to be much more resistant than the stock setting!

Thanks again waterbok for sharing the info and picture. Great stuff indeed. ^_^

You all have a fantastic Friday! :)
