I've painted the tyre lettering on quite a few of my cars over the time . I'm just about to detail the Wild One F&R tyres and usually I paint the raised parts too , but I just wondered if anyone just paints the inner part and not the raised part of the letters? . I know on tyres like the Frog rears etc the lettering is so small it's hard not to paint the raised part too

previous build with painted raised wall lettering:-

I do paint only the inner part of the letters, because i´m not the talantest "paintist".

I use a white ballpointpen.

The better way is to paint the outer line also, it makes the letters sharper looking.

Yes , I agree , it does look right to me and that's the way I've always done them , I'm interested to hear how fellow members approach it . Wild One boots , here I come

Groovy , thanks guys .@ Nigel - I'll be posting up a small build thread - more of a blow by blow thread as the W/O is finished bar the tyre lettering and a few decals . it has a few little touches , but nothing dramatic as I like Tamiyas take on the Wild One box art :)
