Looking into getting a pair for those pesky little c clips in the kits.

Can anyone recommend a pair/set.

I use needle-nose vise grips, perfect for those e-clips

You know there is one of them tamiya tools in my grandhauler kit and I never figured out out what it was for. I will go and dig it out

I also have 74033 - can't think why Tamiya discontinued it - wouldn't be without it !

So all the answers are for the E clips, not the C rings.

This is probably right and what topforcein was really asking for.

But are there any tools made for the original C rings, like on the original Hotshot?

Mmmm..OK, seem to have misunderstood the question but I always install C-rings by pushing them on to the shaft and then downwards till the ring locates in the groove, not like an E-clip where you fit it to a shaft by pushing it on sideways directly into the groove.

Don't think I've ever seen/fitted a C ring

Googling Tamiya C Ring Tool brings up Tamiya E Ring Tool - Even they've never heard of a C Ring

C-rings were used in the vintage buggies llike Hotshots & Boomerangs, etc... to retain the gearbox output shafts in the gearbox.

I think the re-re's used E-Clips.
