Shodog 1834 Posted October 20, 2015 Back in the day I had a Pro2. I ended up selling it to my neighbor and regretted it ever since. A while back Incredible Serious posted this one for sale so I swooped it up. I had been wanting to practice a two step paint process of clear red backed with gun metal. I figured it would be best to try it out on a $25 body rather than the +$100 body I want to paint this color. First I cut the body out and prepped it for paint Laid down a solid coat of red clear. Then sprayed the gun metal The color looks phenomenal All the decals applied and headlight buckets in Obligatory topless shots
speedy_w_beans 4270 Posted October 20, 2015 I like how it looks in the direct sun; the highlights look good against the dark color.
Shodog 1834 Posted July 30, 2020 Since my last update five years ago on this car I’ve come across more parts for this car. Over the last few nights I worked to install them. So now it has A Carbon fiber upper and lower chassis, shock towers, transmission brace, bumper brace, nerf wings and Pro2 handling kit. HPI two speed transmission. Aluminum heat sink motor plate, center mount, aluminum front and rear bulkheads, suspension arms, uprights, knuckles, and upper suspension mounts. Aluminum dampers with threaded bodies aluminum spring perches. Lunsford titanium turnbuckles and hinge pins. Still on the lookout for an aluminum steering linkage and front arm mount.
BuggyGuy 1101 Posted September 14, 2020 That's lovely - I have a Pro2 awaiting restoration and this thread has moved it up the priority list a bit
ralphee 282 Posted December 8, 2020 Used to race one of these way back, superb car, way better than the later Pro3. Was a looker too. I miss the HPI of old. Lee
