As I am new to most things forums, I will give this a go. I can't beleive I built this Scorcher base chassis 3 years and a few months ago, but that is what the photo information from my camera is saying. WOW, how time has flown. It would appear that I started this on a Saturday evening and came to a finish around 12 hours later on a Sunday morning, wow.

Progress is shown as best as I could with a tripod set up and then shooting as steps allowed. Enjoy

The kit, pretty normal stuff, but I still love the box art.

Thanks for looking. I have to admit that the Scorcher does look different these days. Updated photos with the finishing touches will be added soon enough, but first I have to get permission to post this build.

Thanks Jeek, as I mentioned, they didn't end up on the finished product. I guess I should offer them up for sale, but I am so far behind in getting things posted that I am behind getting things sold off that are surplus as well.

I knew it wouldn't take long for you to chime in Erich. Paint scheme is done, thanks to Pinto Power aka Alberto. He left me the exhaust pipes to do and the radio equipment will undoubtly be Futaba.

Let's see if these photos of the finished(nearly) product will stay put. I have put the body on that came from a combination of two TC members, I bought a yellow body ages ago and had PintoPower alter the paint scheme to align up with a Hot Wheels car that I used as reference and inspiration of what my Scorcher would look like. I had to find some Centerline wheels, well as it were, I used some wheels from little known maker from BITD called M&M R/C Fabrication out of Herndon VA here in the USA. I miss the small makers, it is much like today's 3D printing, but it was all done by CAD and hand machining of the day, it is cool and I am certain today's items are better in some respects, but it still seems like noone is makeing much of a living off the RC industry aftermarket parts that would make your car look AWESOME.

It is of course all my opinion, but like you can alter your 1:1 car with "factory options" in dress up parts, SOMETIMES it is the absolutely unique stuff you have made that allows your car to stand out amongst the rest. Anyway, enjoy this as I still need to get some detailing to the Stinger and bolt it on, also switched up to box art bumper with rear cage that was probably handmade bitd of TC before the RE RE stuff hit everywhere and the front bumper is bound to be from RC Channel as I used their suspension alteration on my Ranger.

I did not know you was into that two-color Scorcher project car, Chris! Looks very interesting.

I'm surprised you did not put your thin point pens to work the doorshut lines there, and no decals either?

Hey, here's what you need to make your own lic. plates: http://www.acme.com/licensemaker/

Again, that's one pretty kewl Baja bug! ;)
