Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I am going insane. I got a new IPad Air 2 the other day and now I cannot see photobucket images in the tapatalk app.

I know it is a fairly specific issue but has anyone had the same and fixed it? I need images of all the wonderful things people are doing...

Usually the problem of Photobucket hosted picture invisibilty is caused by some broken HTTP code. They seem to like to mess around with that from time to time.

The Photobucket staff either repairs the way they transfer the content, if you're lucky. Or they just leave it broken as it is and then claim the problem is "at the user's side" if you're unlucky.

Happenend before, please see here for a similar situation:

Having just solved this problem for myself (by using wireshark to compare the headers sent by Opera with the headers sent by wget, which does successfully retrieve the image) and then found this thread from googling to see if anyone else had been complaining about it, I feel it is worth posting to clarify a couple of points...
  • It is NOT Opera's fault
  • It IS Photobucket's fault

Photobucket have misconfigured their servers to react weirdly to the Accept: header. Other sites which do not react weirdly are quite happy with Opera's default Accept: header. It's not Opera doing something wrong, it's Photobucket.

Additionally, regarding Tapatalk there may be issues between Tapatalk and Photobucket as well. It might be worth reporting the problem to the Tapatalk developers of your iPad app. And don't forget to allow images to be seen on your app, I think there are some ways to toggle media content on and off for saving bandwidth.

Most seem to work but people using the HTML tag rather than the IMG tag seem to be the issue.

Will see if I can report to Tapatalk and look at the same thread on my android phone to see if it is an issue

Thanks for the help guys
