Well my lovely wife bought me a Tomahawk for me.

Can't open the postage box to X mass morning either <_<

So are you getting a present under the tree r/c related?

I'm in the same boat. My wife got me a Holiday Buggy (that I'll likely narrow up the width) and I can't even look at it till Christmas. It's fun to anticipate like a kid again though.

A big box with a Tamico label on it arrived the other day, followed by smaller packages from RCbearings and Time Tunnel, so I suspect I might be getting a RC gift too. Not sure what it is though - I have been dropping Grasshopper - related hints, so perhaps it'll be one of those...

Mine is nothing as fancy as all that. A friend of my mums always insists on getting me a present and I always tell her you don't have too. I think she's sees me as her son too  . To put her off last year I said get me a subaru impreza. As I like japanese performance cars and I thought well at least she won't be able to get me one of those. Well she did. She got me a 1:43 scale subaru impreza by vanguard models which is driven by a guy called Ollie clarke. For those that don't know he won a race series in the UK many times called ten of the best which finds the fastest road legal car in the uk over 3 disciplines of quarter mile, top speed and handling circuit. It was perfect! :D

Roll on to this year and she's asked again. She always gets me something if I say something or not so I thought of something cheap and that I could really use for all my tamiya stuff. So I said nuts and bolts and screws! B) (I had to send her a text of the correct sizes, aww bless)

So when you open your fancy kits think about me with my tubs of nuts, bolts and screws.

There's a Monster Beetle kit on top of the wardrobe in our spare room driving me bonkers - I wish she'd hide it or wrap it - the temptation to peek in the box is killing me!

Nope, never :(

For years I've been asking first my parents, then my wife, for RC Christmas presents. Every year they say it's either too expensive or I have too many RCs.

Most years I will buy myself something fairly cheap in the run up to Christmas so I have something to build during the holidays, and each year the holidays are too busy with chores, family visits and parties that I can't get out of so I never finish them anyway :D

This year I have gone one stage further and bought a full operation MAN TGX truck, but I'm not sure how I can show it to the wife without getting divorced...

How would I know ? I'll find out on the 25th as usual. If you lot can see into the future, would you mind telling me next week's winning lottery numbers ?

Well guys, got a bigish budget for my Christmas present this year.

I am not sure if I fancy a tank or a few off road truck kits to build (MP, MB, LB, super clod, bullhead)

Any thoughts? I'm easily swayed by the fresh new tamiya box smell so 1 kit vs 5.

I'm affraid if I want something from Santa, I just have to buy it myself. There's enough on my wish list, but as long as I have too many projects to build. The wife might as well be right to build them first. For now, I settle for some days off within my busy schedule so I can start and finish some projects. X mass will be a great time to do that.

Offcourse, I could give some new Tamiya RC models to the kids and enjoy building them myself...
