I was wondering if anybody in here would be so kind to let me know what parts from the Tamiya TXT-1 would fit a stock Ford Juggernaut.

I believe the axles and transmission box are the same. Am I wrong?

And is there anything else compatible between these two monster trucks?

Thanks in advance for your replies or links :)

If you check on the Tamiya USA website and look at the spare parts list for the Jug2 you can click on the KF button next to each part to see which other kits the part is compatible with.

Might take you a while but at least you will get a definitive answer.

Do you mean Jugg 1 or Jugg 2?

There's a lot of differences between the Jugg 1 and Jugg 2 as the '1' had a load of weaknesses

Jugg 2 upgrade parts have '2000' molded into 'em I seem to remember

I can't tell you all the differences from the top of my head, but the differences of the drivetrains of the Jug 2 and the TXT are roughly as extensive as the differences of the Jug 1 and Jug 2. The TXT drivetrain have many small improvements like partially 6mm instead of 5mm shafts (and bearings acccordingly), double set screws on the universal joints and so on. If I was to build a best possible Jug now with only Tamiya parts, I would use as much parts from the TXT drivetrain as possible, combined with the frame and suspension of the Jug and the body of the Hi-Lift F350 for the best possible look, reliability and durability, but sacrificing handling and performance for looks.

Thank you guys for the replies! What I really want to know is what are the parts that I'd need to turn a TXT-1 chassis into a Juggernaut, not really caring whether it would be a #1 or #2 version. In a perfect world I would not even be wondering about this and would have a nice Juggernaut 1 instead, but I have to watch out carefully every angle of the time & money involved in this chance as I am not in the best situation now to spend, you see.

Have you got a Jugg Erich ? - you lucky man :)

Haha. No. But recently I was offered this piece atrocity in here and was wondering what are the chances that "someday" I could work these parts to turn them into a Juggernaut chassis. It would be a swap for some non R/C thing I have.

Now careful Kev, this picture is really GROSS!

Seeing your pic Erich, it struck me that I might have just about what you need. As you may have noticed, I commented to a thread about the Jug a couple of weeks ago that three friends and I built a Juggernaut 1 each the evening of the day the first ones arrived in our country. We were very excited to run them and the same evening we ran the one that was first completed. Immediately experiencing the now wellknown problems, the model was run for just 2-3 minutes and never run again and the three others never run at all. So I have a new built Jug 1 and the remains of the one that was run. I have discarded the complete terrible drivetrain, and as it was intended for a lexan body, it has no body. The good news is that it's pretty much a complete almost new Jug 1 frame with suspension onto which you can bolt the TXT-1 parts that you apparently have! Drop me a line if you're interested.

Wow, that TXT has been totally butchered :o. I think I'd want to look very carefully at the axles and the transmission, given the state of the rest of it ! It looks like even the wheels have been cut down to narrow the width of the tires. It would be interesting to see if the tires will still spring back to their original shape when removed from a wheel. Good luck with it.
