What's the safest way to take off the front shell to a Hilux #28?

Do you all take off the radiobox lid before lifting the front body?

(complete newbie here, thanks in advance)

Yep - the best way to do it is to take both the radio box lid and the front body off at the same time - Then you dont have to repair the tabs so much!![;)]

thanks Guys... yeah, that's the sequence in the manual too. [:D]

Real odd design that.

Radiobox clips are real stiff too, like you'd think Tamiya never wanted one to re-open the sarcophagus!

On my Hilux, with some toying around, I can fit the front cab on the tabs, then on the body mount. No need to remove the rear part of the body and the radio box lid, it's more time consuming bu it IS easier to remove the rear first. My Hilux has't got the origional transistor-speedcontroller though, maybe that's giving me more room to 'play around' with the cab on the chassis? [?]
