Terz1 745 Posted January 7, 2016 To me it has to be the hornet. To me personally it was the tamiya which blew my mind as a 10 year old kid. By no means is it the best handling nor as high end as an avante or bruiser for example but it was affordable, fun to drive and looked fantastic just like a buggy should. Like someone mentioned the hornet is tamiyas best seller too so more people would have been exposed to it by either owning one or seeing a friends like I did. Plus I think it did make it into the catalogues and regular stores and toy shops so would have had lots of exposure. My top 3 would be : 1. Hornet 2. Monster beetle 3. Lunchbox Those are the top 3 that scream tamiya to me, blackfoot would be 4th. Ironically the 2 tamiya I had has a kid aren't on that list. The avante was my first tamiya (how lucky was I!!!!) and the bullhead was my second. My brother had a boomerang and a clodbuster. Yep we had a lot of fun with those!
