GF01 Land Cruiser 40 Wheels and tyres

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I have a GF01 Land Cruiser 40 with the standard wheels and tires.

I wanna change the tires to something with a bit more grip on the dirt and grass. The current tires are more for road use. What tires will fit on the standard wheels or what wheel and tire combo can I change it to.

I checked out the GF01 Heavy Duty Dump Truck.

Those tires looks like they would have much better grip, just not a fan of the yellow wheels.

Any other suggestions?

As the GF01 has front and rear hexes you can install any wheel/tire combo you like.

Just take in account the width of the wheelsbase so you wont fallover in corners.

Use rims with as much negative offset as is possible, that will help.

I'll post a pic later but the chrome wild willy rear wheels and tires bolt right on.

Nitomor has a 4x4x4 thread that has CR-01 wheels with monster beetle tyres, they would look cool

Here's mine with Wild Willy wheels and a Jimny body. Ignore the thick layer of dust in the second pic, it doesn't get run as much as it should.

Thanks guys, this helps me a lot, now I just need to decide what I am gonna do. For now the standard wheels and tyres are gonna stay until I have gathered enough funds for new wheels and tires and a couple of Hop-ups.
