I want to mad a Grasshopper

Recommended Posts

Ah yes....that was the first car from Grahoo I had ever seen. It was very cool and unique, but it's modifications are much more stealthy. I definitely prefer the bold look of the modified multi-link Grasshopper.

Seriously Tamiya, get in touch with this guy and produce some hop-up kits for us! You would easily sell more Grasshopper kits too!!!

video ddoesnt work for me.

as for my plans as of now (and they are subject to change) is buy the crp hit off ebay and try to find shocks for it. Do the shapeways rear end kit and find shocks for that as well. make it look scale as possible.

This hornet has a great front set up. I don't know if it's a kit you can buy or custom made.

This one has the crp front end. I think it's a members that is on TC. Hope he doesn't mind me using the pic. Think its a great action shot.

The first one is my design with my bumper attached to it. This isn't my car but I think it was the one that sold on ebay recently right?

Did you do that design pinto, great work (again)! Yes it recently sold on ebay. Went for quite a bit too if I remember correctly.

Thank you. And yes, $530 USD I think? Insanity!

Here is the front end with the revised cantilever. It is now bearing equipped.

nice.. i want to keep mine scale looking. right now the next step is finding small bore old school shocks. i might use the ones off the kyosho scorpion re re. those are 60mm long but the crp kit uses 65mm shocks so im not sure.

Nice grasshopper lin. Thanks for putting up the steps in the magazine too. I've got 2 hornets and would love to do this to one of them.

Yes, indeed. But I have to admit that it is too vulnerable to run. Not perfect enough, now it is shelf queen.

Feel free to let me know if you need more pictures of the magazine with better resolution.

I would recommend finding the aftermarket metal front suspension brace for the original grasshopper and throwing some mini-T front oil shocks on it. They fit well and give much better handling characteristics. (in the process of making a modernized grasshopper runner myself)
