Anyone heard anything from Stella? I haven't heard a peep.

Can't help on Stella, but FYI RCMart has shipped #ChildishExcitement :)

Never heard of 'em!

Joy Division though? Now we are talking....

There was a good five-year epidemic of Joy Division-sounding groups, going back to 2002 with Interpol. Were you a fan of any of the bands?

I don't mind it. Again, it has to be taken as a compliment. When Carlos left Interpol, they did an Internet application form to be a bass player. I applied and didn't get picked [laughs]. I applied as Peter Hook, and they turned me down.

Speak of the devil...I have just had the email from them and paid up. Price was $279.90 so a little bit of discount over the seemingly standard price of $299.

The late 70s to the mid 80s was one of the greatest periods in history for music, no doubt about it. That's for another thread altogether though. :)

"I liked <insert band or iconic brand of your choice>. Now they are just too commercialised!" B)

Agreed. The Television Personalities were great until Dan Treacy started dating Miley Cyrus.

I see that the HK stock is now sold out. None really on ebay either.

The race to be the first in the showrooms has begun. Those on their way from RC Mart must be close to delivery I would have thought?

@lin6499: I think that a lot of us to the west of you are jealous  Have you seen any signs of Kyosho perhaps releasing an HG Shock Set for the re-re Optima?

Well, I'm from a small Island where re-re Optima is produced.

Sorry, have no clue what HG shock is. What does HG short for?

Hey, we want pictures from the factory - Get them to give you a tour for Tamiyaclub.com :)

FYI HG shocks are made by Kyosho for the Scoprion/Tomahawk and are a 'hop-up'. The main difference being that the shock bodies are threaded for easy spring pre-load adjustment (fixes the classic Kyosho shock problem where the plastic spring clamp moves up the shock body, or if you try to tighten the screw too much, the clamp breaks. Another solution to this problem are the excellent alloy shock clamps that you can get from Pargu.

Wow, threaded shock bodies, I want to buy it too if they are released.

I got tons of 3D printed shock collars from my friend, so I guess I don't have to worry about the collar thing anymore.

A little out of the way, but you should try giving Frontline hobbies in Newcastle a ring.

Thanks for the video. I loved seeing a Turbo Optima running - I hope Kyosho will re-re the Turbo Optima (or at least the hop-up bits so we could transform the re-re Optima into a Turbo)
