I thought I could answer this from the web, but am not finding much information!: Does anyone know if that Le Mans 490 motor has bearings, or bushes? Thanks :)

Thanks for the video. I loved seeing a Turbo Optima running - I hope Kyosho will re-re the Turbo Optima (or at least the hop-up bits so we could transform the re-re Optima into a Turbo)

Good man lol!

How is this for sacrilege? Look what I have fitted to my Fighter Buggy from my original Turbo Optima...

I am sure there are laws about such 'shock sacrilege' You have made my eye twitch, now take them off and put them back on an Optima at once! ;)

It looks like two copper bushes at both ends.

I know the decal works, but I chose a difficult way to go.

 That could be a nightmare with masking tape. If you are not too far already... Have you thought about using a liquid masking product? IMHO they are awesome for difficult to mask bodyshells. If you are curious have a look at 5:04 into this video of mine :) :

and then painted here:

A little out of the way, but you should try giving Frontline hobbies in Newcastle a ring.

Thanks but they are out of stock at $475.00 a kit. Rc mart is sold out, will there be any more batches released anyone..?

jr-rc has one , It's not cheap @ $345. US $$$ , $451. aus + postage :( .

I'm thinking it's going to cost us in Aus $500. or so to get one . Not cheap

Yes ! Experiencing a weak AUD dollar against the pound, euro and USD for about the last 12 months. Makes everything RC expensive.

But hey, we get cheap lamb ! Lamb curry anyone ?

Thanks Matman, yeah our currency is poor at the moment, its been worse though back around 2006 at 64 cents to $1usd with my top ebay bid on a pair of frog crp front brass bush arms that lightend my wallet lol..

Sorry all. I thought rc mart was sold out, but i managed to order an optima from them with stock arriving late april. Not a bad price either, compared to some in oz :)

For those in the states, I just received an email from Kyosho America saying that the Optima is back in stock, free shipping and no taxes.

I have what is probably a stupid question, I’ve seen unboxing videos where it appears that it comes with 'panel' decals in place of the more difficult areas to paint. Can you use these 'decals' and paint the remaining body white for those (like me) who are painting challenged? If so, would it look 'cheesy' using the decals in place of paint?

Looks like the date has changed for the 3rd time! us over in the UK now according to modelsport will have to wait until the middle of April!, mystify's me how if I order something from the far East I can almost to the day know when it's going to hit our shore's but the importer's of these model companies (and after all it is there main purpose IMPORT!) Have no idea! I honestly think they do use a dart board!!

The car belongs to my friend. I guess he doesn't mind that I post his pictures at this thread.

He painted the body, the driver figure white and used the decal for the rest colors.

Personally, I chose painting on my own because the decal might peel off after years.

That looks great! I will probably go his route then, I'm lousy at painting and am petrified that I am going to mess up the paint job.

Do the decals go on the inside? If so, I wonder if you can mask off the windows and spray clear coat or some kind of sealant to prevent the decals from peeling off in the future.

It doesn’t look bad at all from the pictures!

I've learned that pinstripes are your friend between the different paint colors =)

I guess you are right. A layer of coating might work.

However, I got one more reason to do the paint job.

I wanna use original logos, such as ENGLE CAMS, PENNZOIL, etc,.
