Hi everyone,

Not to long ago I was looking for a model to build and found a Tamiya 1:24 GT2 and it reminded me of my old TA02SW Taisan Starcard Porsche 911 GT2 I had in the 90s and still have! but I was like 10 then and killed the thing but it can be rebuilt I have about 80% of the car. So I made a parts list and starts pricing it out then found that Tamiya remade the TA02SW and for little cheaper I could have a brand new one ! so i bought that and well $280 Cad later and now I've spent twice that on hop ups and a second Original TA02SW Taisan Starcard Porsche 911 GT2 like my original car.

So the plan.

Build the new TA02SW as a running and slowly restore the original to its former glory and keep it stock.

New car.

For the new car this is so far whats planned hop up wise

- Yeah Racing Alum Modified Motor Mount

-TAMIYA #53127 SKYLINE SPEED-TUNED GEAR SET

-Tamiya Hard Propeller Shaft Short/Joint #9805901

-Ball Bearing Set for Tamiya 84399 TA02SW

-SV3 Sidewinder 12V Waterproof ESC/4600kV Motor (I still need to order it but I hope its not too powerful, I'm already running this same motor in my SC10 2wd works great!)

-Most likely change the wheels, I remember them not being that strong

-Old Car ( parts that are needed)

- rebuild rear diff

-Drive shaft for awd

-all new electronics

-clean

-new body

-new wheels and tires

-New body rear mount

-Shocks

-Bearing Set

There is most likely more.

At the moment I'm waiting on shipping for everything hopefully stuff starts to arrive next week

For now I'll keep working on this guy

Thanks guys, These 2 posts is what got me and pushed me to buy a TA02SW again haha I hope to repair my Original over time but she is far from being used atm

How do I move the post or can a mod do that for me ?

Also DHL is saying my car should be here tomorrow
