Ha ! If he turned up at my front door, I wouldn't let him in either. One quarter of the world's most overrated act ? Sorry mate, back to the 60's for you.

LOL he's been living off a few years of fame in the 60s for decades

Most of his output post-Beatles has been unremarkable, sometimes dire (Frog Chorus anyone?)

Hardly surprising he wasn't recognised (or just blanked)

Ligger extraordinaire, retired

Who the (bleep) is Tyga, and why would anyone want to go to his dumb party? If I was a living legend I wouldn't ever bother with these clowns. Doesn't matter your opinion of McCartney, objectively there's no comparison with whoever 'Tyga' is.

No-one has compared 'em

Tyga (no, me either) is a rap chap apparently, probably a bit angry at some stuff and might even have some caps to pop in a donkey, should the need arise.

I think he's from the 'street'. Sesame street that is. He's friends with 'big bird'. :D

I can't actually post the video here since I think although the language is pretty mild it's a bit over the line for this forum, but if anyone here hasn't seen 'Epic Rap Battles of History' do yourself a favor and google 'epic rap battle mr rogers'.

This just begs for an 'Epic Rap Battle: Paul McCartney vs. Tyga'.

Yes, why THE musical genius of the XXth century would want to go to that specific party is something that's a bit over my head, but if he wanted to go there who are we to criticize?

You guys might not appreciate Paul McCartney, but the impact of the man's work in Western culture is enormous. From introducing and setting the standards to electric bass in popular music, to expand Rock N' Roll and even discovering Heavy metal, giving birth to what is now a whole subculture. That among many other things. I do believe in hundred years from now (and certainly more) there will be kids studying this in Music schools and universities around the world.

Beethoven himself might have found some closed doors back in the day, and there were people who thought he was less than other composers from the same period. :(

Why would a 73 year old want to go to a 26 year old's party?

I'd feel old there and I'm half McCartney's age

(Ok, a bit more than half)
