help with diff

i have just brought a thorpe diff for my BF and it does not seem to fit. The problem i have is that the orignal bearing housings dont fit correctly due to the fact that only one of the drive hex comes apart. Help please any pics would be helpful, this is the diff:

also what oil/grease do you use??

You'll need to open the diff in order to insert the bearing (open the hex screw that's inside the outdrive that does not come apart). if the instruction sheet was included with the kit it says it very clearly, and it includes a nice exploded diagram of the diff parts. When you open up the diff you should really clean up and regrease it as it was probably laying around somewhere for years. use ball diff grease such as associated stealth diff grease etc.
