Picked up a couple BigWigs

Recommended Posts

So I have finally found a Wig but the parts one that it came with has a broken front differential case. What other models shared parts with the BigWig?

Been there, sadly. The Hot Shot, Super shot, Boomerang, and Super Sabre are the same. Be aware re-release gearboxes won't do. It has to be one from the 80's.

Guess I will sit on it until I find a replacement.

Are both sides of the front gearcase broken? I think I have one somewhere in my parts box.

So did you want to run one bigwig ? & have one restored ? what are you doing .

If your restoring it , then yes use vintage gearbox's .

But , if your going to use it as a runner , use re re gearbox's with the E clip & re re rear arms &

Keep the vintage one's for safe keeping or another bigwig fix .

That keeps the originals spear & safe , this is what i do & you can restore it back with originals

later date :D .

But if it's a vintage restore , you need to get original parts :P .

But that's just me , Oh and mongoose1983 talking  ...

Looks like you have some hopups there . Bumper , uni joints & wheels .

You would be able to make a good shelf queen out of one ( of the best parts ) .

Then you could make a runner out of the other ( with re re hotshot, boomerang parts )

Looks like you don't have the top ( sub ) chassis . Not cheap .

Give it a good clean , on both & sort out the best parts & get building :D ..

Yes the battery hold down thing ( Sub chassis ) :D .

$250. US $$ ? pounds , Aus $ . No matter what , that sounds like a good price . You would pay that for one give or take :D.
