RcMadness74 24 Posted February 24, 2016 So I have finally found a Wig but the parts one that it came with has a broken front differential case. What other models shared parts with the BigWig?
mongoose1983 3335 Posted February 24, 2016 Been there, sadly. The Hot Shot, Super shot, Boomerang, and Super Sabre are the same. Be aware re-release gearboxes won't do. It has to be one from the 80's.
RcMadness74 24 Posted February 25, 2016 Guess I will sit on it until I find a replacement.
mongoose1983 3335 Posted February 25, 2016 Guess I will sit on it until I find a replacement. Are both sides of the front gearcase broken? I think I have one somewhere in my parts box.
matman 1498 Posted February 25, 2016 So did you want to run one bigwig ? & have one restored ? what are you doing . If your restoring it , then yes use vintage gearbox's . But , if your going to use it as a runner , use re re gearbox's with the E clip & re re rear arms & Keep the vintage one's for safe keeping or another bigwig fix . That keeps the originals spear & safe , this is what i do & you can restore it back with originals later date . But if it's a vintage restore , you need to get original parts . But that's just me , Oh and mongoose1983 talking ...

matman 1498 Posted February 28, 2016 Looks like you have some hopups there . Bumper , uni joints & wheels . You would be able to make a good shelf queen out of one ( of the best parts ) . Then you could make a runner out of the other ( with re re hotshot, boomerang parts ) Looks like you don't have the top ( sub ) chassis . Not cheap . Give it a good clean , on both & sort out the best parts & get building ..
