What I received is a bare Juggernaut 2 with custom links and gold shocks.

Requires: Body, wheels, tires, electronics, hardware, new center transmission (included one is beaten up) and a bit more.

Everything else is near mint.

All parts ordered and arriving slowly. Starting complete disassembly this weekend.

Tore into the Jugg.

Confirmed that Tranny needs replacing (Bits were dremelled off), cleaned axles, installed new bearings, ordered a new B-Parts trees to replace the top of the axles in the style of the TXT-1 (No steering linkage of the stock Jugg).

Really? I'd think it'd be ok with the 4 mounting points and the outputs intact. What bits did they dremel?

The tranny case has been modified where the output shaft exits, I assume for a larger driveshaft to be fitted, leaving the inside visible. Since I'm going for the new built look, I secured a new built tranny and outfitted with new bearings and stock motors.

Just waiting on a few bits and some spare time and I'll have the thread going steadily with updates. Big plans I do have :)

Installation of the BTA servo mounts, S3010 Servos installed all gears cleaned and new bearings installed. Still need to complete linkages and waiting on the top axle assemby in the mail.

Why remove the gold dampers, arent they a hopup. you would need to add the springs?

They are a Hop Up, I am restoring it to mostly stock with just a few modifications such as BTA steering and an ESC.

I've kept my Jugg2 mostly stock, including the steering, but couldn't resist fitting Hi-Lift shocks on mine. I thought they looked more scale without the external springs. Looking very nice though, is the bodykit F350 high lift or a vintage Jugg2 item ?

F350 High Lift, couldn't find a reasonably priced Jugg body.

I've been tempted to do those shocks on a Jugg as well, perhaps my next one :)

Not much of an update, got the dashboard and seats painted on the interior and installed the LEDS in the roll bar.

Also ordered a TLU-01 light set and Holiday Buggy painted and finished driver head (with cowboy hat) off ebay.

Wow these tamiya kits are super impressive. I have never had one in my hands but used to see them at the hobby shops when I was there buying car kits.

I hope I don't get the bug to build one...

Looking good B) I just stripped down/cleaned/rebuilt my second Juggernaut II, still want to repaint the body shell.

Great Juggernaut as are all your trucks.

Small update, interior is done.  Still waiting for nice weather to paint the body and for the TLU-01 to arrive in the mail.

Fantastic job on the driver, skin tone looks really realistic! What paint is that?

Tamiya XF-15 Flat flesh - Thanks !

Today I got the underside of the cab done in black and the front and rear bumpers trimmed off in black. Ran out of paint before I could get the underside of the rear bed.

The exterior is going to be Tamiya TS-76 Mica Silver.  My TLU-01 also arrived.

Getting close now :).

Front LEDS installed. Paint down on body, has to cure before a light sanding and second coat.

Then the bed will be done in black along with all window trims followed by clear coat.

Also waiting on rear LEDS.

Stray,  You have the bug already.  It's inevitable if you hang around these forums much at all.  It's simply in the incubation stage at the moment.  Sooner or later though, BAM!  Full blown out break.  Tamiya kits in various stages of build will be lttered about and your wallet will be empty.  My condolences to you and your loved ones. :D

Have you considered using actual truck bed liner to do the bed rather than black paint?

Nice job Chris! Liking the silver and the polycarbonate glass is a nice touch to go with the interior B) Would paint the mirrors semi gloss black though.
