Wow, greate video and it looked like the perfect spot to take it for a spinn.. Hmm, makes me not wanting to sell my Hotshot :)

Thanks bjorklo,

Those sand dunes are a great place for a spin. Heavy on the batteries but the sand is loose so the cars come back pretty clean. Lots of natural formations make great jumps and rhythm sections. Top fun!!

Great video and I like that colour choice

Thanks TeaMonster

Thanks for compliment. It's a metallic blue but I couldn't help myself recently when JC-RC on ebay had a factory finished red Hotshot body that I bought. . Having a second body or more is like having another car.

Nice work buddy, I'm looking forward to my beach holiday :)

Thanks Chevelle. Get those vintage cars onto the beach just like in the original videos. Dry sand is better for clean up just watch those motor temps.

Very cool, and what a great place to run your cars... you lucky man.

Looking forward to the next video :)

Thank you. SRB Bloke, I've got an original Sand Scorcher with a tired original 540. I've been reading up on the motor case mod to fit the newer 540's that seem to have grown in girth with age a bit like me. Hopefully it will get into a video too! Here it is with a Re-re glass/plastic to replace a very yellowed one

A great video great quality brilliant location do you have futtage from the other rc's in the video

Thank you topforcein, That was filmed here in Australia. Some 3 hours north of Sydney and some in Victoria 8 hours south of Sydney on some camping missions. Yes I have 1 or 2 more vids on my channel+ another couple of videos to come soon with The Frog and the Hornet+ some others too.

Awesome video. Really captures the essence of the Hotshot and is very evocative. Great stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. Gnarly Old Dog. Love that Hotshot! One my more reliable runners and simply goes great on that surface.

Took a quite a few hours to film over about 20 months on camping missions on and off when you get the time off work. Then some more hours editing but I like the way it came together too.

some more vids to come soon.

Awesome vid! Great car!

Your vid with the Marui Hunter is pretty cool too. It looks to be in good nick, where did you get it?

Thanks Pablo68, I saw that Hunter on Ebay in 2014.

I bought here in NSW on the central coast from a guy that had 5 or 6 Hunters among many other mint condition Marui's I'm pretty sure he was a TC member then.

I paid $200 for that car and a beat up, spares only Hunter.

They really are a cool car but like others I just can't get the gearbox to seal so it's sand/dirt use is limited. Still looks the part and gets a garden run on the grass on a sunny afternoon....

Those locations were mint! Some of the dunes! The itch for Hotshot is getting so strong...

Thanks JNSD1, That Hotshot has done a lot of work.

Get's heaps of love and is just great car to throw down and put 'round a few laps.

The oval blocks are great for many surfaces with a low wear rate.

I've tried a 23T Tamiya RZ and the 20T photon speed 2 duratrax both of which were used for small parts of that video.

Sounds crazy but I like a good fresh silver can in Tamiya 4WDs. less heat and not as brutal on these cars that generate a lot of traction. Even with a good lipo I limit run times to about 11 mins so as not to leave high temps in the motors and reducing their performance.

I only get to the good spots to run the cars a few times a year so like longer run times over higher speed.

I've been running these motors in the Hotshot, an original Fire Dragon and a Blazing Star with good results

What a fantastic video. And very reminiscent of the original promo video from 1985. Great work!

Thank Wandy. It takes a while to set up for the filming and you can only use a a few seconds out of each minute that you film for.

The editing takes a while too but I enjoy making and watching vids as much as everyone else does.

Some other great work on youtube as well as few TC members here too.

Got another in the works soon...............Thanks again
