DB01 heat sink fitting

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have a nice blue alli motor heat sink which fits in the floor of the chassis but how do I get the hole to fit it?

Looking from the underside the plastic appears to be a knock out but it does not want to budge and I don't want to break the chassis. Do I need to dremel it out or do I need to be more forceful?

Thanks

Jason

Hi my friend the motor heat sink in question fits the DB01RR chassis not the standard DB01 chassis. I had the same issue last year.

Steve.

Ok cheers Steve. I will cut it out then :)

Check with others first before cutting it out. It might reduce the chassis strength compared to the DB01RR chassis that is moulded to take the heating.

As above, it cannot fit the stock DB01 chassis. You need the high traction chassis or the Carbon Reinforced chassis as the plate screws to the tub. As abiove too, I wouldn't cut a stock DB01 chassis tub up as its very soft as it is.
