TS paint over enamel paint?

Recommended Posts

I am working on my Sand Scorcher at the moment and I originally decided to use some paint I had lying around from my Land Rover D90 build. It is genuine Land Rover auto touch up paint (non metallic).

The colour has not come out as I hoped so I wanted to lay some TS paint over it.

Before I do this, does anybody know if there is an issue laying TS acryllic on top of auto paint which I assume is enamel? I have left the paint to cure for nearly a month so it should be inert by now but you never know.

One option I have considered is re-priming first with Tamiya primer.

Thoughts appreciated.

Thanks

If you mean the Tamiya lacquer paint then no you don't want to put that over enamel. If you mean the acrylic Tamiya paint that should be fine. The reason I ask is I usually associate TS as lacquer.
