TA04 layshaft

Try looking up 53510. Saw it on SpeedTechRC's site on page 3 of their Hop-Ups. Described as "TA04 Hardened Layshaft".

Whether this is harder than the stock shaft, I dunno.

Thanks cTG. Yes, did manage to find that on the OP list; we grabbed the last one from an LHS shelf last night. Stock still hard to find but.

Sounds like its a recent addition. This option is not in the TA04-R's kitbox; not sure about TA04-TRF - not listed on TRF specs list.

Standard item is pretty soft, the chromed metal (cast? stamped?) feels like the steering pins on Grasshopper for example. OP item feels stiffer and appears to be milled from solid bar.

Any discernable weight differences between stock & hop-up shafts?

Didn't actually weigh it, but the new bit still feels pretty substantial - I'd say it'll weigh same as the old one. Its definitely not made of titanium. []
