Anyone in the states want to make a few bucks?

Hope this is in the right section.

Just wondering if anyone in the states would help me out trying to buy a motor on ebay.

I've found this:-

http://m.ebay.com/itm/172161433512

Ive tried messaging the seller, but didn't get a response and now it's not even possible to send a message,so I'm guessing they won't ship to the uk!

From the feedback,it looks like they've excepted an offer on others, but I'll pay the BIN price,so some extra there depending on your haggling skills! 😀

couple of thousand more rpm at lipo voltages with that castle motor, but I don't know of anything that can take that sort of rpm, cept for the likes of a pro 10 or pro 12 pan car, and even then, a pro 12 normally runs a 1s lipo.

with that motor your looking at 76000 rpm (1260 rev's per second) unloaded at the 8.4 volts of a freshly charged lipo for those kinds of speeds you'd want to be sure everything is close to perfectly balanced and strong in the gear box

I'm running the mamba max pro esc so can potentially dial the rpm down if required.

Always nice to have some extra in the tank if the occasion arrises. 😀

lol,thanks for that!

I've run a castle 5700 with 3S in a dark impact and the gearbox held together, the only thing that has tbh!! (don't think it was designed for that lol).

hmm, interesting, guess the df03 is really close to race quality parts.

As for getting that motor from the states, NZ post has a service that provides me with an address in the UK, US, and I think china. All I do is use the address they provide, and then when they get the package they give me a cost all inclusive, customs shipping etc, and in some cases it actually works out cheaper than using shipping options on ebay, I'd look and see if royal mail has something similiar in place for you to use.

And the US members will be getting up soon (cept shift workers, many will be getting ready to enter dream land), so you should be able to find someone who is able to help you.

I did the hardened gear mod (my 2nd df03 pics),which seems to have worked,as I say,it's the rest of the car that fails.

I'll look into the mail divert option,I've sent 1:1 parts to the states via a London PO box address before now,so maybe a viable option,if I get no response.

I have a connection I use for 1:1 parts, but parts took 9 months to arrive last time due to shipping woes and dock disputes!

sounds about normal, strengthen one thing, something else breaks....

9 months is painful, but the holdups on those parts won't happen all the time.... one would hope...

      Hi Jon,
In the linked image, I've simply moved the bar forward until it is centered directly over the rear shock tower (approx. 10.72mm) and kept the same height.  Is this what you had in mind?

I've also reached out to you on Thingiverse via you R53JRC user name.

      Hello
      Hope you are well
Are still manufacturing the gear box clamp for Monster Beetle?
Can they be fitted with a rear anti roll bar?
      Thank you for your help
      Kind regards
      Jack
