I know, this is no Tamiya car, but I have the chance to grab one for EUR 119.- locally.

I really do not know if it is worth the money. The car is functional, undamaged, comes with radio and original manual.

As I like the looks of the car I tend to buy it, but I really would hear from the experts if its a crazy price, a bargain, or simply not worth it, because the car is crappy

All opinions, hints, etc. are highly appreciated!

If the gearbox is functional, the tyres aren't perished and the body shell is good with the spotlights intact that is a good buy

I've ended up paying nearly $200AUD or around $100Euro for a something that is ok, but needs to be restored, so it sounds like a good deal to me, especially if the tires are good.  I found the tires to be the hardest parts to find in good condition.

Its a great bit of RC history, I've got two and I'm hoping to turn one into a runner one day. Make sure to post pics if you get it :D

eBay will always be your best marker of pricing, so check what else has sold as far back as you can - both as basket cases, runners and mint shelfers.

I think anything vintage, for that money, that is in reasonable condition, is alright in the current market - just remember that if you put a load of cash into it beyond the initial purchase you probably won't see that back at any future resale, the market for Marui is a lot smaller than Tamiya,

Current ebay auction at approx. $120, another item available for (buy now) $500.

This is how the aforementioned car looks like:

the tires look quite worn ...

The more I think about the car, that indeed needs some refurbishement, the more I feel to pass on the purchase. I guess I will save the money for something else.... I always wanted a ClodBuster ... :)

Anyway, thank you all for the quick replies, your input helped a lot!
