The driveshaft/vibration issue is a separate thing, that's down to some of the new re-re kits having bad shafts. This gearbox mod isnt for that. Its to clamp the gearbox together and thus stop the warping and grinding of gears which has plagued this chassis since the 80's...or was it 90's, not sure

Ahh thanks sorry, I have not been keeping up on the MB re-re thread, I will have to see how my drive shafts are then to when run it once built, these will for sure support the gearbox very well!

No worries. There's lots of folks having no issues whatsoever with the shafts and others that are so its just luck of the draw. Its not an expensive fix if you do have the issues though thank goodness.

From the look of the responses to this thread, I think you will definitely need more

I don't own either car so I don't know, but would this work on a Frog or Brat as well? It would be quite useful for someone wanting to run some more powerful motors. Just a thought.

Unlike North Carolina's HB2, this should actually take care of any Tranny Troubles you may run into...

Yes this will work on the Brat and Frog, well, I know it'll work on the Brat as I have one, but I don't have a Frog. As far as I know the Frog is identical to the Brat so it should be fine

All the parts are in! Just waiting on the bubble envelopes to arrive tomorrow and then I can get a set to the post office for postage prices.

Ok chaps, postage & packing costs.

£1.50 UK (+ £0.50p for every extra set)

£3.50 International (+ £1.00 for every extra set)

These prices are for standard postage with no tracking. If you want tracking its a silly amount more, £8.50 for international mail?!?!?! Madness.

So, if everyone could DM me with their order we can get the payments sorted and get this under way.

For anyone ordering more and one set, just add an extra £0.50p for UK postage and an extra £1 for international postage.

Fantastic! I was just about to post saying that everyone who'd paid by Friday morning has had their parts posted out. UK folks should have theirs by Monday and international folks should get theirs in the next 1-2 weeks.

Hi these look great. I take it there is no reason why I could not use a set on my Brat chassis instead of MB is there? If they are good for the re-re Brat, could I order a set or am I too late?

Yeah these work on the Brat/Frog too. Well, the 'no rear bumper' version anyway. I've got one of those left at the moment so if you want it, just let me know

For anyone else reading, there are 4 'with a rear bumper' versions left.
