I know that this may seem a bit sacrilegious to some of the die hard tamiya fans and for that I apologise! I'm after a suitable replacement she'll for my King Blackfoot other than the original tamiya one. Do you guys have any suggestions please?

The Blackfoot Xtreme shell will fit when drilling new holes., you can cover the surplus holes with putty before painting.

What's the most powerful motor I could put on a KB?

I'm curious as well...  I put a slow 45t brushed in my Bushy D so my son wouldn't kill it learning to drive...  But now that he's mastered his Grasshopper with silver can 540, its time to get a new motor...

I'm currently using a tamiya sport tuned it was in my MB but since fitting to the KBF I haven't used it as I I want to get all the little niggles sorted out first! Like the steering ie it hasn't got any so am trying to swap the steering rack from my MB to the KBF!!

Yeah, the KBF front end is beyond my knowledge...  My son wants the truck to be fast, but I'm thinking a Torque Tuned... Or I'll pull the Silver Can out of the spare parts bin and install that...

For myself, I still need to upgrade my Bush Devil's steering rods (turnbuckles and ball-ends), but I'm waiting for something to break first...

I did just upgrade the steering on my Grasshopper tonight - Dubro rods and ends, Kimbrough ss, CRP knuckles, Lunchbox axles...  You might try the Dubro turnbuckles and ball ends???  I have them on my Frog and they work great!

The axles are the least of my worries at the moment as they are of the dog bone type! I have upgraded all the bearings to metal, that coupled with the motor, it should fly!!!

Give it go! You're not losing out by trying!! I will be at some point this weekend embarking on a custom one off paint job (shell stripped of stickers all ready to be rubbed down, primed and painted)! Will definitely post pictures when it's done!
