Thanks for posting this info Mokei!  Radio Shack is a thing of the past so  I guess I'll have to find some 27 K Ω  resistors online somewhere.  :/

Has anyone used one of these switches instead of doing the above - might be a little easier?

Many of you guys actually tried this with any success? Makes sense in theory but it’s quite a small board to solder on to.

ill happily give it a go but be good to hear some success stories first.

I have a few spare now and the gear, resistors to do it. Just need time and motivation now....
