Charging battery pack in Futaba attack transmitter

I got a Futaba attack transmitter with a couple of cars today,. its got a heatshrinked 8 cell rechargeable pack inside,.. do i need a special adapter to charge via the external transmitter socket[?] or can i use an adaptor from something else as long as the voltage and current are ok[?]

It's best to use the original Futaba charger. But you can also use a generic charger with the correct polarity plug (output end) and correct voltage & current rating.
