I received today a new decal sheet and four stabilizer ends for this project.

The front bulkhead is in its way to my home.

I found a problem on the upper plate drawing and I need to resolve the motor plate before the chassis.

In fact the upper plate must be screwed to the motor mount, there's no other solution.

Stay tuned.

Ok, today some update to this project.

A couple of minor parts are arrived. The stabilizer ends, thanks to Tamiyabigstuff.

Just a little bit of abrasive paste and these ones will came back as new. Now I also need of the stabilizer bars to complete this section of the model.

This other part was absolutelly needed to complete the project.

This is my first 3D printed part, by ORB Racing, thanks Koen and Paul.

The part is heavy and sturdy and resolves many problems of the original one. It has been track proven so I believe this is a good deal.

The project is going on. As I said until I will not finish the motor plate I can't continue with the chassis plates.

I'm a little bit lazy this period, I must admit.

I just tested the 3D printed bulkhead from ORB and it fitted perfectly.

It's strong and massive.

In the meantime I made a general check of the project and I noticed that some parts are missing yet and I lost one of the gearbox screws (dohhh!!!).

So actually I need these parts for my TR-15T project. I don't want to spend too much for entire bags, that at the end I will not need, so used parts will be good for me.
Last week I made a great damage of 1500 € on my workplace due the tiredness and I still don't know who will pay the damage so I cannot spend money until I will know about this ****.

From Adjuster Bag

- Front Stabilizer bar BF7 (common wiyh Dyna Blaster)

- Rear Stabilizer bar BF6

- Gray 6mm Adjuster BF1 - 1 piece (common wiyh Dyna Storm) FOUND IT

From Press Part Bag

- Front Reinforcing Plate BP3 - 1 piece (common wiyh Dyna Blaster) FOUND IT

- Gearbox Sub Plate BP4 - 1 piece No more needed

From screw bag B

- 3x44 mm, gearbox long screw BB4 - 1 piece (common wiyh Dyna Blaster and Dyna Storm) FOUND IT

- 3x21 mm, Tapping screws BB6 - 2 pieces (common wiyh Dyna Blaster and Dyna Storm) FOUND IT

From Screw Bag E

- 2x20 mm, Cap Screw BE1 - 1 piece (common wiyh Dyna Blaster and Dyna Storm) FOUND IT

From ball connector bag

- Damper mount BJ4 - 2 pieces FOUND IT

From Avante/Egress

Avante/Egress 25 mm chassis columns - 4 pieces (common with Astute) FOUND IT

As I said the parts can be used but the important thing is that they will be not too much ruined.

Hi mates, some news concerning this long term project.

Many of the missing parts have been found, thanks Mike!

I finished to design the 'motor mount' for the electric conversion.

I had long times due to the bricklayers at my home, then I had a big flu immediatly after the 'end of the year' holidays.

Now I had some time to draw this part that I will realize as soon as possible.

Both upper and lower chassis are already designed. The body is still missing.

Now the only thing to do is the fund rising to complete the project because the chassis plate is very big and will be really expensive.

Hi mates, I has been involved in a terrible work with my first movie.
After 8 years finally and unexpectedly I found a little distribution for it, good news but I needed to convert it in 2K so it is 3 months that I'm working on this, having no time to do anyrhing else.
But don't worry, the TR-15T gearbox is on top of my left monitor as a reminder.
The first thing I'll do will be to replace the pictures of this thread, maybe during the renderings, then I will go ahead with this TR-15T project.
I already drawn the chassis plates, now I drawn the gearbox plates, I need to make a sort of little aluminum bulkhead to join all these parts all together and I'm blocked on this problem.
I'm not able to 3D drawing, so I don't know how can I do.

Hi, finally I replaced all pictures.
Boring job, believe me, but I will not permit Photobucked to waste all my job of documentation.

There will be updates soon I believe.
Stay tuned!

Hey Max, if you ever get around to the new motor plate, please let me know, I'm interested in one too (depends whether you're fabbing a one off or getting it manufactured i guess). At least the designs would be a great help.

Hi Ann3x,

for sure when I'll do it I will let you know.
Currently I'm a little bit out of the hobby cause massive money drain for other life problems but as you can see I'm present anyway.

Random question but does anyone know what truck (if any) the TR-15T shell is based on?

My own electric conversion is coming along now (albeit the harder bits like Motor plate and top tray I haven't started on) but I don't really want to use the original (brand new) shell and cut a redundant engine hole!

Wondering if the TR-15T body is a derivative of something else (as is the case with some of the other truck shells like the HMR, Bush Devil etc). Anyone know?

It's definitely unique due to the cutout section for the engine but I'm not sure if the general shape is based on something else (or has been reused later on).

The flare of the wheel arches looks vaguely familiar....

The TR15 body is unique and you can find the repros.
The TR-15T is longer than the Dyna Blaster so I'm not sure if the two bodies can swap.

Sorry to hijack Max's thread! but my conversion is coming on now so I thought I'd share progress: https://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=131730&id=47934

It's all mocked up now and the chassis drilling is done for a Dynastorm battery case. My aim is to covert it to how I think the TR-15T should have been (namely, electric and a monster racer!), in the most "in keeping" way possilble.

Still to do:

  • Need new front tyres to match the rear's stance (proline ribs on order)
  • Need to cut top plate from CF
  • Need to cut motor plate from Alu
  • Need to work out an offset / kinked steering link to avoid fouling the battery removal.
  • Need some Dynastorm parts:
    • Gear Cover
    • Slipper Nut Cover
    • Bumper (optional but I think dynastorm one looks more in-keeping)
    • Pinion (20t or lower I think, given the bigger tyres)

(If anyone has any they could spare - please let me know, atm these are cannibalized from my dynastorm - It looks unhappy!).

Hoping I can get time to work on the Motor plate tomorrow, then the Top plate next week.

Still convinced that the body is related to something else...
