I was curious about this the other day after seeing @MadcapIwant1 's Blackfoot kit box. I remember seeing Blackfoot boxes with some extra writing under the blue Ford. I did not have a chance to have a closer look at one of those until this one. I suppose this is just a Japanese-market version of this legendary RC kit, isn't it? Anybody knows more about this Blackfoot box? One thing that really surprised me when going to check my kit box was the barcode, I mean I was not expecting checking something from three decades sporting such thing! Oh, well.

Anyway, here's the side-by-side pictures. The kit box that's below in the pictures it's mine, it was a kit originally purchased in Canada.

Barcodes on products date back to the '70s so were on everything by the mid '80s.

it is always interesting to see how there are variations of box for different markets

Yep, this is an original box as sold in the domestic Japanese market vs an original box as sold elsewhere in the world.

The same variance (additional Japanese writing) can be found on (I think) every vintage kit. Certainly most.

In addition, there were often further variances among the non-Japanese boxes - such as text which mentions "Model Rectifier Corp" (kits sold in USA) or "RiKo" (kits sold in UK) and so on. Some people prefer one type or the other, but I think having any box type at all is a privilege, as there are far fewer surviving boxes today than there are cars.

Both kits are same except for the version release market. Yours is US version.

My self i have 2 nib Vanquish and one is Japanese version and the other is US version.

Other differences you wil find is: the manual will have Japanese guide and instruction in addition to English and some times it is 100% Japanese in the Japanese version. The blister packs haveJapanese words. Sheets that comes with manual are different in both version.

Other than that they are identical.
