Here hoping this gets noticed by someone out there who knows their vintage nitro motor tuning.

I have a couple old cars from the 80's, a SG and a Landjump running a Picco P1 RE and a OS21FSR-C ABC.  Both engines are almost mint.

Can someone help me with the original settings and some basic tuning tips?  I used to be pretty good at this back in the day, but it was 35 years ago....

Setting up nitro motors is an art. Of this era, os were normally easier to work with. For the OS21FSR-C ABC. I used OS number 8 glow plug ( medium ), 7 - 10% nitro, ( avoid old fuel ). Dont quote me, but if i remember correctly for the needle valve it was 3-4 full turns from closed, for a rich start, and then leaned out from there.

Picco's P1's were more fussy / fuel sensitive.
