''cloudy'' lexan after paint-strip

Recommended Posts

I think I've heard about this before.

So what do you do after stripping a lexan polycarbonate body and it ends up a bit ''cloudy''?

Is there any solution for such thing?

You all have a great Sunday! :)

I believe that when you will paint it again it will be no more cloudy.

It will be fine mongoose. This is mine after the paint stripping. You can see there is a cloudiness to the lexan.

When painted though it's as shiney as any brand new polycarbonate shell I've done

I used nail varnish remover (acetone free). I put it on some cotton wool balls and it came off a treat. I put the shell on a tray and poured some into the the up turned body shell so it could get to work in other areas and vame off even quicker when I got to them. Hth
