Another update:

Started filling the concrete grooves, so as my flooring doesn’t sag into it (using sheet vinyl)

And been painting my galv shelving units black, have 5 of these in total to run along the wall where they were before (albeit at half height on tables then)

There are other jobs that I could now be doing, like cutting and painting the skirting boards ready for when the floor goes down, but I wanted to start turning it into “RC WORLD” again, so..........

Small update, been painting, and painting, and painting. Don’t sit still at my place or you’ll be painted black 😂 (Yep that’s a fridge that is now black)

There’s also another 2 cabinets and some shelving planks that are black now too.

I also got 2 more shelves up, and moved some more RC’s back in

Now I’m getting concerned about space and that I’m not going to allow myself a proper work space (first world problems I know). Once my flooring goes down (should be this weekend), I’ll have a better understanding of what I’ve got to work with as I can start getting the furniture back in there. I need to be cautious that I don’t turn this into too much of a “Man Cave Lounge” and not a “Man Cave Workshop”

I have the same radio that came with my original Falcon.

Did you get the coloured ribbon with the plastic clip that attaches to the end of the aerial?

Mine was blue and I religiously attached it every time, even though there were no other RC around as far as the eye could see.

Yes it did, and yes mine was blue too. “Blue 32” was my frequency from memory. I still have the box, I wonder if it’s in there 🤔

Race cabinet refurbished, this will have my race cars on top and other equipment inside, I plan to have a work table near here also

More progress

My little trophy corner

 

(Mostly) empty kit boxes (there’s a few that need to be built)

I still have more boxes, mostly non-Tamiya, more shelves required 😳

 

Cars back on display, empty spots assigned to unbuilt stuff

 

Willy gets his own “multi-level garage”

 

Still more to do, but I’m getting there, running out of space very quickly, not sure the 5th scale will find its way back into the room
