These weren’t easy to fit, dunno if there is a trick but got there in the end, then realised that I put the front discs on backwards, so had to fix it after these pics were taken

And here’s the completed chassis, forgot to photograph the hop up steering set, but fitted the YR version and it matches the blue perfectly

The wheels are MST, the brakes are off of eBay, they do a few colours too, they look fantastic imo

Now for the FF03 Pro, this came up on another forum for sale as a fully hopped up assembled but never run roller, so I ended up making an offer and acquiring it.

this is the list of hop ups from the seller

Included was an unknown brand Golf GTI body which has a different look and is only 2 door

Here’s the chassis as it arrived

Had to finish assembling the shocks

Trimmed and test fitted the body with the supplied white kit wheels

that body does look 'special', will you keep it or get another?

I’ve used the body, the post above was explaining and showing it, so now it will be in the next post

Okay, third attempt at trying to get this post up

I wanted a scheme for this that I’ve noticed as a bit of a trend in the hot hatch segment, and that’s a clear coated grey primer type look. Now as that’s not an off the shelf colour in PS paint, I asked my airbrushing mate if he could do something, so he mixed up a colour and laid it down. Also, the white kit wheels don’t quite fill out the guards as can be seen above, so I went looking around for something and cam across the alloy options that are in a bronzey/coffee type colour. I’m pretty satisfied with the result, really going for the slammed “phat” look

Good to see you back at it@mtbkym01 turning out some great stuff. I bet you’ve missed your man cave.

Yes mate, it’s been great to be able to spend some time in there, might only be short lived if this cluster that we’ve had gets cleared up, might be away for Xmas

As I may have mentioned previously, I hate having bodies with no Kit under them, and of course having a Lexan Brat shell left over from my Brat kit just didn't sit well. Decided to try something a bit different, so here I present the "Street Brat"

Bought a basic TT01E kit (No electrics or body or box) from ebay, built basically stock (SWB) apart from bearings, 23T Ansmann motor and Mtroniks ESC.

50647316936_b54cb9f685_k.jpg

Tried a few sets of wheels finding the right hex thickness and offset to fit so as the body could sit nice and low

50647408172_a3dd43a814_k.jpg

50647408112_72b9e88a1a_k.jpg

None of these worked for me, had to keep looking

50646572268_9d8feeadc0_k.jpg

Ok, this above worked as far as offset (0), but not the style

Decided to get the body painted while I waited for some wheels I ordered to arrive

50646572173_3ff225d858_k.jpg

I like these wheels, but still marginally wide on the front, even with 3mm hexes

50646572113_a0a3d53151_k.jpg

Some black multispoke arrived and I think I'm satisfied (atleast for now)

Some may have seen the Lancia Delta Integrale XV01 builds that @KalEl63 and I completed recently.

https://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?/topic/97436-2-different-xv01-kits-but-same-result/

Well the process of acquiring that kit had me end up with an additional bodyset as I originally planned on the LD Spec kit, but ended up with the Lancia kit anyway, so what to do with an extra bodyset, well as I think I’ve stated previously, I hate having bodysets not sitting on chassis, so grabbed a cheap TT02 first try kit, and some allot hop ups from RCJaz, knocked out the build today, still need to paint the body, but I think this is gonna look pretty cool sitting alongside the rally car

Yeah true mate, by adding the extra bits and tools, the shipping stayed the same. Still the cheapest option I could find for a chassis kit. Us here in Oz really are disadvantaged presently with Tamiya currently, pretty sad really

yeah, and yet from Asiatees, I've bought a GB-01 chassis kit (well its still to ship) for $30 freight, which also ships from Hong Kong. I suspect in that case though, they do a bulk send out through the general postage system. Whereas RCJaz seem to use proper freight companies.

Just bought some TT-02 Hop-Up parts from RCJaz and they were shipped FedEx: Hong Kong to UK in two days!

So I got some paint on the the street Lancia, beyond happy with how this turned out. It’s Tamiya PS61 backed in black, with Matt black accents. I love the stance, probably wouldn’t be practical to drive it this low, but boy it looks mean IMO

that looks hot!

are there nuts on them wheels?

Yeah, MST nuts are 5.5 instead of 7, and it has 3mm hex’s to get the wheel offset, a bit too much axle showing as a result

A suggestion from James on the main site, smoke the windows! It’s a very good point, but I’m scared to get an even coat 😂😂

they look really good! Shortening the axles shouldn't be too hard, tedious, but not too hard
