Im getting hold of an 11T Tamiya motor and need an ESC to control it. I don't want to spend the earth but want one that is going to do the job. Ive been looking at an "M-Troniks M.sonik 3 Sport Plus". Any thoughts, opinions or reccomendations?[?]

Hi Barney,

I have 4 M-sonik escs and have never had a problem with them, the thing I like so much about them is that they are dead easy to setup, its a one touch and your done. Easy Peasy! Makes moving between cars quick and simple.

Hi there.

I've got exactly that ESC, I believe it was about £55. I'm running an 11T mod motor with no problems... although I would say that the brakes don't seem to be very good, especially when I compared it to a friend's ESC.

You can also adjust the delay before it lets you go into reverse, but I find that even on the minumum, it's a rather too long 1 second delay from stationary.. mabye it's just me being too particular[:I], but I wouldn't buy this ESC again...

Tim.

Ooh, almost forgot.. If you decide to get one, I got mine from http://www.clevelandmodels.co.uk . Great service, and the cheapest I could find.

LRP pro digital reverse for around £76-79. I find LRP/Nosram ESC's to be superb for quality and ease of use

I would go for the Novak Super Rooster, if you can afford it. It's a bit big but it can even handle 2 motors if you ever need it and it has no delay between brake and reverse.

I think £120 is too much for my recovering pocket. Ideally i want an ESC with Reverse, no delay and able to handle an 11T motor. All for around £60-£80? Anybody?[?]

Barney, see my post above about the LRP F1 pro reverse digital. it has no motor limits and would be perfect for you. I have one on my TA-04 which replaced an M-troniks and the graduation in control and acceleration is much much smoother

Just received an LRP Runner Reverse from walawala.com via ebay. He still has some LRP ESC's in his listings. Service and prices were good (strange how it can travel from Germany to Macau to HK to UK and STILL be cheaper than UK mail order!). Thinking of Germany, I believe that the MSonik ESCs sell in Germany under the Carson brand and they seem to be cheaper. Try some of the German sites maybe? HTH

Can you turn the delay off or set it to zero seconds? Does anyone have any more info on this ESC as it appears to be a bargain at £45?

you can set them how you want m8, instructions are provided to set it up with the use of a brake or not.

i have two of them, one is fitted on my TL-01 chassis, the other is fitted to my wild dagger running twin motors.

honestly, you cant go wrong with them.

You just had to spoil it for me there by telling me it had something to do with Ripmax.[:(] I have first hand experience of Ripmax quality and reliability with some of their r/c products and I wasn't impressed. But at that price it could be worth the risk.

P-Sung electronic speed control ( PCNOLIMI) £45.

i have a 11t super modified motor, and it is perfect as the esc as a no limit as to what motor to use.

it's very easy to setup, and very good for the price.

hope this helps buddy.
