Pingman 4 Posted October 1, 2016 I'm not sure if it's Tamiya or not but figured someone on here might know what it is. Fairly basic silver can but has replaceable brushes, presumably label is removed?
mtbkym01 4008 Posted October 1, 2016 Any markings on the end bell?
Backlash 481 Posted October 2, 2016 It looks to have quite a bit of timing, so that combined with the sealed can and bronze bushings my guess is that its a 27 turn stock motor from the 80's early 90's..

How does one know how much timing it has? I was wondering if its a Tamiya dynarun or similar missing label
tagnut69 4 Posted October 8, 2016 I think all tamiya motors have tamiya on the bell end

huasze 24 Posted October 9, 2016 27t stock motors for racing tended to have the "roar" imprinted on the can as well. Since it has a bushing inside, then I concur its likely a 27t stock motor
InsaneJim69 1584 Posted October 9, 2016 Def not Tamiya, but as above it looks like a 27t stock motor with fixed timing. Can and endbell look similar to those used by Trinity Monsters of Touring series of motors, but then in those days alot of the cans etc were all similar/the same. Kinda hard to tell what it is exactly without the label. Unlike something like the Trinity P2K/ Reedy MVP which are instantly recognisable. James
