Hello,

I have a blazer that just needs to be finished detail wise and maybe some details redone. The former owner has started but I'm a perfectionist and was wondering about some tips to nail the detail the first time. No room for screw ups here. My wing is unpainted. I know I'm leaving this kinda broad but looking for all help. I'm no newbie as i have done many custom cars but this is a different arena for me as far as working on high end out of production shells. I have a Hilux that was done by an Asian guy that lives in Canada maybe? Surely he's well known here?

Sincerely, kinda anal about my Tamiyas......

Getting anything perfect is by the nature of it, impossible. As a perfectionist, I reckon you know that being completely satisfied with anything, simply isn't feasible. But you will find a lot of people on here, who have worked on improving their modelling skills for decades, both as a hobby and as a profession. They will always strive for perfection, knowing perfectly well that it will never be achieved. A rather typical attitude for Tamiya enthusiasts, not the least because it epitomizes Tamiya's own philosophy of never being fully satisfied with anything. That's a crucial criteria for improving,  while people who think their skills and results are perfect, are mostly stranded somewhere far away from even the quality level most of us would consider barely acceptable.

Or in other words, if you think there's always scope for major improvements regardless of how good something is, you've come to the right place. :)

I'm always looking for paint advice. I found spraying anything turns out better than brushing sometimes even if its window rubber or something. I'm always second guessing a better way to do something.
