The ORI28220 has a Kv of 13050rpm

Wooders that motor is **** expensive! You can buy a Tamiya kit for that, a DT03 and have change for a lipo

Ahh you got me, this proves me right, my new sig will pop up all over this forum and be seen by many and might spike interest in the speed thread, hoping it might encourage more to enter their cars to claim top spots too.

Edited my sig accordingly now, and the TT02 and TT02b are different vehicles so can compete against each other.

No running from me this weekend, had to order a new Tx/Rx as mine was having issues last week and kept dropping out. Making it pretty impossible to have control.

Next weekend I intend to do the SRB...hopefully breaking 40mph, and the FF01 50mph+

Then it's time to get the TT01 over the 60 barrier!

Jason please get that Top 10 up before Wooders beats me again!  I noticed that the old run is referenced the new one is on P32. 

I might have to change my plans and try get back out tomorrow

Right, so CORRECT speed run entry:-

Tamiya Bullhead 

Stock silver cans 

Hobbywing 860 esc

3S lipo

25 KPH - 15.53 MPH

 

 

 

With it raining early on, I didn't charge the battery, so the lipo is in storage mode, so still a bit left, plus only had a 2 and a 3s, so couldn't go to it's 4s limit! 😡

Nimh - 16 KPH 

2S lipo - 17 KPH  (on storage charge)

So a fully charged 7.2v nimh is about the same as a storage charged 2s lipo!!

Yeah, I have a 3300 40c 3s now. I worked out it should be good for 100+ Amps. 

SRB is 65T Spur with a 20T pinion (fastest combo without modding), 9T Brushless and some Buggy wheels (It's a vintage SRB with 12mm Hex mod)

TT01 is 55T Spur with at the moment a 26T Pinion, but going to try a slightly bigger one. Also going to lock the front Diff so it's easier to keep straight. 5200KV motor...at the moment, but have a few in my watch list on eBay...go big or go home  

FF01...66T Spur &  31T Pinion....with 5200kv

I'm liking the top ten for top speeds, bump spot is closing on 50mph and the top 3 are 3 different chassis, and 3 different drive variants, infact you need to goto 6th to get a duplicate chassis, brilliant!

What I find amusing is that it takes 5 pages to pass/ fill up on this thread before the top speed is broken.... go look at 4th place set on page 17, 3rd place took till page 22, 2nd was on page 27 and top spot was page 32!

Next top speed record should be due on page 37 ( on page 35 now!)

I sneaked out for a run, it was very windy and the car was all over the place.... ended in couple of big off's at speed.  I will pull a video together if the footage is worthy  

I'll have to wait for RC Mart before the next round

I'm seriously considering getting the real 1:1 version of that and will then have to get the 1/10 shell to match! Try explaining the thinking behind that to the wife?!

If it's any consolation, I just put a bid in for an tamiya F1 car on eBay of £90 but got outbid, it sold for £45?!?!! Still trying to work that one out. Think I could have had a shout at the speed record with one of those babies!

That bizarre dude!  The F103Gt I ordered is the same F1 style pan car but with a TC wheelbase, wheels and body, I had my eye on the F104 but don't think that it would survive long speed running and there isn't much room under the F1 body for the ESC etc.
