@Phil_H

Nice one, great speed there!

@Wooders28

Having an on and off road class seems simple enough, but there are vehicles which will be eligible for both classes.  With this peoples interpretation of what's on and what's off road will just create confusion.  I too enjoy overpowering things, apart from being a giggle it tests my abilities/knowledge and as I've mentioned before - do enjoy a challenge.

For the Outlaw vehicles to be accepted, there would have to be a relaxation in rules or just another table created.  In the new table all manufacturers and scale should be allowed, classes defined by the amount of cells and with the only segregation of fuel type vehicles.  A speed table with rules kind of defeats the purpose of a speed table, as it's not a true indication of chassis ability.

A Brushed/Silver Can table is easy enough to create.  Just have two sections Brushed and Silver Can.  I agree.  I think a lot of members would be interested in this - a more even playing field and minimum expenditure.

@Macinnis

...and wouldn't that look pretty at night.  : )

List updated!

Clean run Phill H great effort and great video, it didn't even look that fast out in that wide open space!

As far as categories goes, there is a modified Tamiya section ( go bananas and extend a T chassis to 500mm wheelbase and run 6s lipo)  and a section for all other brands ( traxxas, HPI, Kyosho etc) too, that has most efforts covered I'm sure.

From studying this thread from the beginning it's clear the vast majority of users here are T fans who like the stock form of the cars, the rules on entry to this thread looks like it keeps this stock theme going which satisfies the majority of entrants, if one day there are so substantially more voices calling for a change then it will be re- thought, but at present most angles look like they're adequately covered.

What potential RC speed entry can't currently be categorised with the existing categories?

If you compare it to the 109kph run in the same space you can see the difference .

I'll be back for a much more interesting video soon hopefully.

Awesome work Phil and well deserved, you really have raised the bar!  I doubt that my FF03 will be able to top that.

I am very very jealous of your backyard runway :)

@VagabondStarJXF  Ditch the horse and cart and treat yourself to a brushless setup.  Would be good to see your F201 on the board!

Cheers. I think I'll need to get a new Motor/ESC if I want to break 80...

I may also do a pass on a road, just to keep things fair, as I do have a slight advantage.

Whats the new esc? Do you think the old one is faulty or can't handle the motor you are running? Intrigued to see how much difference an esc can make

A better battery would most likely get you there and your good with the runway bud :)

I'm looking for my next 3s set-up and I can't decide which to go with, it's either a 6900kv or 7700kv.  Both are crazy Kv for 3s but I'm just slightly concerned about the increased fireball risk with the 7700kv.  My HPI RS4 on 3s with 5700Kv 48pitch 53 spur/44 pinion hit 88Mph and I don't think I have maxed it out yet so either one should be good for triple figures.

Yeah an on road run will get you more kudos points, as long as it goes straight it ain't an issue.

The one that's in is a speed passion revention r, which has a 7.5t limit (running boost, and mines a 6.5t...) and Only 70amp.

The new esc is a LRP flow factory team esc , 3t limit and 200 amps.

I'm intrigued too, I'll swap the esc, do a run, then put a 110c lipo in and run it again.

@Wooders28

I was looking at that ESC, combo 81148, for the TA03F Pro.  Be very interested in your feedback on this.

Found it here for a fair price, with 14.00 euro shipping.  They have quite an extensive range in motors and ESCs.

What lipo are you using, is 110c continues value?

@El Dougo

Your new toy is going to be very quick, can't wait to see it in action!

Can't wait to see the result. I have 80amp esc running 17.5T and the people who sell Orion ESC's tell me one of theirs would make a difference but I don't believe them. In your case it sounds like it will, that 70amp ESC will be maxed out.

@M 800STD

I paid £50 delivered for this one, maybe worth having a look for a 2nd hand one?

The lipo I've gone for is

https://www.modelsport.co.uk/absima-low-profile-shorty-lipo-7-4v-110c-3200-mah/rc-car-products/407612

Also tempted to get a pair of these, they are the size of normal 1s saddle, but 2s2p , giving potentially 4s in the space of 2s.
