Jason has kindly offered to send me one...they are cheap on hobbyking though :) .

I had 3 about 2 months ago but sold them with a job lot....if only I'd known!

I could use the TRF for a silver can run, less chance of smashing it to pieces at high speed :)

I also like the idea of only 1 car per person in the top 10...like the Street Outlaws. Gives people a bit more incentive to 'make the list'

I'm off work today :)   This is what the outlaw list would look like:

1 - El Dougo - TRF418 - 85.5 MPH / 137.5 KPH (Video on page 60)
2 - Phil H - TA04SS - 78 MPH / 126 KPH ( Video run page 55)
3 - Jason1145 - DF02 - 60.8 MPH / 97.9 KPH (Video on page 46)
4 - Wooders - DT03 - 59.0 MPH / 95 KPH (Video on page 47)
5 - Macinnis - TT02b - 57.2 MPH / 92 KPH ( Video run on page 36)

6 -  MadInventor - DF-02 - 53.4 MPH / 86 KPH (Video run on page 46)
7 - firefoxussr - TA05 - 52.7 MPH / 85 KPH (Video run on page 17)

8 - Jupitertwo - DT-03 - 51.6 MPH / 83 KPH (Video run on page 12)
9 - Lawsy - DB01 - 50.1 MPH / 82 KPH (Video run on page 18)
10 - S
mirk-Racing - Lunchbox - 48.5 MPH / 78 KPH (Video run on page 31)

I've a few myself, but I'm planning on buying some lipo's from hobbyking anyway, so the extra postage should be zero, I'm betting the postage cost would be around that price for Jason to send you one!

I'm thinking that a new one can be bedded in correctly etc to extract the most from it.

I think I'm going to stay with the spirit (cheap) of silver can, and just run car's that came with them stock.

If we are doing an outlaw category, the speeds will be a bit higher, they are all held back by gearbox and chassis rules 🤔😁

I do think that it's a good idea to change the Top Ten list so that it's one entry per person.  The outlaw class is already there just no entries yet :)

I might look into these rocket cars

The rules say nothing about rocket assist! Couple of rocket engines and say hello to 3 figures! (4 figures?!?) 😂

Cheers Dougo... I've put this as the new top 10 fastest and made that rule about each member can only enter 1 car per category...

I need to change the other categories now though for RWD, 4WD and FWD.

Actually no... just the overall top ten is limited to 1 car per member.. the other categories can stay as a point of reference :)

It's definitely becoming very useful reference info and I really like the diversity of all the entries. It would be a shame to discourage that B)

Yeah, just the top 10 as 1 only....gives others a chance to get on the list. And then all the others are as Dougo says..a good reference.

I'm already planning in my head the Silver Can options :)

I don't it matters too much about the motor, it's about how many volts can you squeeze into the battery compartment ;)

Not in any way. There is a lot of variation in silvercans. That's why race series use Torque tuned instead as they have QC to ensure that they are within a complient range.

Then chuck in a great esc, and a top of the rangle high C lipo and you will be da king of the silvercan!

I've read a few differences between the Silver Cans...

The Early 'Johnson' ones had a few more RPM's, but less torque...but by the looks of it there is not much in it.

I think a lot of people would buy a handful and choose the best of the bunch.

I feel I should point out that this category only allows the use of silver cans, but does not say how many silver cans could be used in one car :D.

I've the bullhead with 2 so far!

How many are you planning? 🤔😂

Not really 'planning' anything as such, just aware of the old racers adage 'hp sells cars, torque wins races'. Thinking about maybe putting 2 or 3 motors together onto a common propshaft with a high gear ratio. (This would of course put it in 'modified gearbox section').

I think I might still have somewhere the brackets I made to add an extra rear gearbox onto the back of a boomerang  to make a 6x6 with twin motors, which I then fitted mad bull wheels and tires all round to. Back then of course we didn't have LiPo to take advantage of the high gear ratios that would afford.  I've just realised that technically it wouldn't be classed as a modified gearbox as they were all stock, I just had an extra gearbox fitted ;) .

Just wondering @MadInventor how many units of 'aftermarket internal gears' would need to be sold, to be classed as 'aftermarket'? 🤔

No idea, I guess they would have to be something commercially available designed to fit a model car. HPC Gears (www.hpcgears.com)will sell you a massive variety of steel /brass / plastic gears in whatever pitch you require, and they sell them in large quantities, but they're not specifically designed to go in any particular vehicle or for any particular purpose. (It would be very easy with these gears to make custom spur gears in a variety of sizes.

I had my money on on the one with the caution hot sticker   I have a couple of each type so when I get round to putting an entry in i'll swap them over and see if it's measurable.

Been pricing up the parts to convert the TT02 to S spec and it's going to be over £80 plus postage and I'm thinking I might just log a speed as it is and sell the chassis on hmmmm .

I have a bucket full of silvercans and torque tuned motors so need to get on this. High voltage and low weight with a very big wheels.....
