I want to build a TA02 with extra narrow front tires for a rally car, is there a narrower than 24/26mm tire that still uses a 12mm hex?     I was thinking perhaps a 4wd buggy would have such a thing.  If the tire is bigger than usual, that's not a big deal.

The best thing i've come up with is the GB01 Fox wheels, which are 20mm wide in front and look very similar to an 037 wheel, but I haven't a clue what diameter they are:

I'm replicating this car:

They were special tires made by Pirelly just for these Lancias, for the off road races.

I know that 24 mm is the smaller measure. You can trim the rims and the tires to obtain this result.

Back 15-20 years ago there was some touring car wheels and tyres made that were thinner, approx 18-20mm wide. I have some but I don't think there is a brand name on them, so that probably won't help with your search. I will go look for them..

They are the fluro ones, white ones are standard tamiya.

Very interesting.  I will continue my search.  Thanks for posting.

Tamiya Team Hahn Euro Racing truck (#58632) tires (Dia. 70mm) will fit the GB01 rear wheels. In order to make them fit the GB01 front wheels you need to narrow the tire a bit (EDIT: I have reasons to believe front and rear wheels are the diameter).

How to make the wheels fit 12mm hex, I for one do not know.

Hope it helps?

What about 1/14 truck wheels and tyres?

Oh interesting, the semi truck wheels.  Looking now, very promising.  22mm width and the right tire profile.

this one is 30mm wide, but if they make it narrower, the style is even similar:

I'm considering eliminating the hex to make the wheels sit in further, do it SCT style and just have the dowels directly in the wheel.
