Project Zero

I spent most of the year in sort of a rut with RC stuff. Tried to sell off a bunch, managed to sell quite a few, but couldn't part with the rest for prices they might actually have sold for. So I've more or less given up on that idea, and have decided to keep what I have. More than that, I have decided not to buy anything for the forseeable future either. I have the itch to tinker with stuff again (though very little desire to actually drive them, which is weird for me), but I already have several half-finished projects sitting around, with everything I need to complete them except time. And I have lots of other junk that could easily become projects. I think I can stay busy for at least a year, maybe two, without buying anything except maybe paint and stuff like that. Zero cars in, zero cars out, zero money spent. Hence, Project Zero.

I'm not going to do build threads. I don't want the pressure of "hey, what happened to this car?" Instead, I'm just going to post photos of stuff when it's finished (or mostly finished) in this thread.

So here's the first one, my trusty old CC01, re-born as Mama Fratelli's getaway car from the movie "The Goonies." I've had this body sitting around for over a year now, and finally got around to painting it. Better photos, outdoors, coming later...

Love that - is that a Proline body?  I picked one up a couple of weeks ago for my SCX-10 and can't wait to get it painted.  

Really neat idea too - I made almost the same bargain with myself 3 weeks ago, before I spent another £300 on a drift chassis, body and electrics...  But that will be my last one.

Oh, apart from next week when I've visiting a mate who is thinning his huge collection at rock-bottom prices, might buy a few more next week...  But only a few...
